At Tica Copenhagen, we have always focused on sustainability and responsible production. Therefore, it has always been of great importance to us where we get our products produced and in what quality why we today have a good and professional cooperation for more than 10 years with our producers of textile and rubber.

Today we have all our carpets produced in Belgium in Europe. Belgium has a long experience in the production of this type of mats and carpets and we have been working with the same factory for a number of years. The factory is ISO 9001 certified and complies with all EU environmental regulations. The factory is also REACH certified. REACH is the EU's common chemicals legislation and has been called the strictest of its kind in the world. Its aim is to ensure that the products you buy in the EU are not harmful to people or the environment.

The carpets, mats and runners are made of polyamide, a soft nylon material that is very durable and water-absorbent. Despite strong sunlight, they keep their colours well.

The back is made of vinyl without phalates, which is very durable and makes the carpet lie well and stable on the floor. It does not stain and can withstand underfloor heating.

They can hold it for good everyday use with lots of activity and "traffic". They can withstand the thousands of times you walk in and out of the door, whether you come in with wet, dirty shoes/boots, sandy rocks, muddy clogs or wet running shoes. They absorb water and dry quickly. Vinyl backing means they lay neatly and firmly on the floor and won't crease, causing you to fall into the rug. The backing can withstand underfloor heating.

The pile height is 7mm, which means it is typically not too high in relation to the door threshold. At the same time we have chosen this height pile, partly because it absorbs water / dirt in the good way and not least it gets a "carpet look" and is really nice to walk, stand and sit on.

When our sizes do not fit 100% to your needs, it is possible to cut/trim the rugs. The vinyl is soft to cut. Mark the back and cut with a sharp scissor or hobby knife. The edge will not be 100% like a machine cut edge, but the polyamide material will not fray, so we find this works well for many customers.

Shoe trays and doormats are cast in metal moulds in 60% recycled rubber in South India from mainly tyres which are remelted and residues from other rubber products e.g. baskets. The rest is natural rubber produced in India. Rubber is a tough and solid material, so the shoe trays will last for many years. The material is also soft, so the edges won't crack even if you step on them.

Rubber is a relatively heavy material, which means that they sit well and firmly on the floor, whatever the floor, so they don't slide around on the floor. The shoe trays are also resistant to underfloor heating.

Our Racks are produced in Poland. They are made of raw steel and powder coated in matt white, black and grey. The legs are made of wood.
